spinal stabilization

“Support the Weak and the Needy”

  • A form of spinal surgery that includes fixation of metal screws and rods to the vertebra, commonly done in spinal fractures.
  • Re-aligns and prevents motion at the injured vertebra by using additional hardware
  • No need for prolonged bed rest.

Key features:

  • Percutaneous techniques (‘Key-hole’) available which significantly reduces the post-operative pain
  • Patient can walk the next day following surgery
  • Removal of the metallic screws and plates is not mandatory (MRI compatible)
  • Increased likelihood for improvement of neurological deficit (weakness of upper limb or lower limb)
